First View of Mount Kailas from Mansarovar
When we reach Mansarovar from Saga and if weather is clear, we witness the presence of Holy Mt. Kailas before we begin circumambulation.
If weather is cloudy then Mt. Kailas is visible early hours in the morning - what we say is Brahma Muhurt - between 03.20 to 03.30 hrs!
The first view of Mount Kailas from the shores of Mansarovar is a breathtaking moment, where the majestic peak rises gracefully above the calm waters, filling the heart with awe, peace, and deep reverence.
Outer Kora - Parikrama will commence from Darchen next day. Mansarovar to Darchen is hardly one hour drive.

Mansarovar is at the foot of Mt. Kailash, surrounded by Swastika Mountain (Gurla Mandhata) and the revered Chiu Monastery of Guru Rimpoche (Padmasambhava).
Buddhists believe it is this Sarovar where Gods carried Buddha after his birth to cleanse him with holy water.
Circumnavigation of Mt. Kailash is incomplete without the parikrama of Lake Mansarovar. We will feel the calmness of sarovar water when we do knee dip at prescribed places (direct bathing is prohibited). Sarovar Parikrama will be by vehicle which takes approx. 4-5 hours.
